If you want to be on top of spring events in the Bayou City, you have to know just where you are headed when celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. It is one of the most fun and party-filled holidays of the year in Houston for adults, as well as children, who get together to enjoy Irish heritage and great times!
However, finding what you will be doing outside of your Houston apartment can be tough. That is why we suggest the 1960 St. Patrick’s Day Parade. One of the most exciting Houston events, now in it’s 35th year.
The 1960 St Patrick’s Day Parade is not about they year 1960; but rather, it is about the overall jovial spirit of St. Patrick’s Day. The 1960 Parade Committee organize this procession every year rain or shine.
In 2013, 1960 St. Patrick’s Day Parade is happening on Sunday, March 17. The parade does a lot of good for those in the community interested in doing family-friendly activities on this holiday, within a community with others who feel the same. And, This parade has benefited the Cypress Creek EMS Educational Scholarship programs and raised more than $100,000 over the last 5 years.
